The Chamber of Kavala was founded in 1918 and its one of the first founded in Greece along with the Chamber of Thessaloniki. The first members of the Chamber were tobacco producers of the Kavala prefecture. It is a public law legal entity, under the supervision of the Ministry of Development. The Chamber of Kavala has over 13.500 members including small and medium sized manufacturing industries, commercial enterprises, handicrafts companies, large industries, as well as professionals.
The Chamber of Kavala organizes since 1993, on an annual basis, KAVALAEXPO.
From 2008 the Exhibition is taking place in the Exhibition & Conference Centre "Apostolos Mardiris" , one of the major reasons that led to the improvement of the Exhibition.
The Chamber of Kavala is determined to strengthen an institution that beyond from necessary for the promotion of entrepreneurship is developmental as well. The institution allocates also the maturity and the infrastructures to promote enterprising activities in local, national and Balkan level while parallel organised enterprising actions strengthen and multiply the final results of the Exhibition.
With new logo, new name and new approach the Exhibition of the Chamber of Kavala KAVALAEXPO 2009 will be realised by Saturday 26th September until Thursday 1st October 2009 in Apostolos Mardiris Exhibition - Conference Centre.
The main objectives of KAVALA EXPO 2009 are:
• To attract even more exhibitors.
• To attract visitors from a wide spectrum of professionals sectors
• The organisation of parallel conference events of enterprising interest.
• To be promoted to Greece and the Balkans in order to become even pore popular.
• To promote a choragic plan so that resources are ensured for the essential promotion and growth of the Exhibition.
The Chamber of Kavala having as a priority the promotion of entrepreneurship considers that the success of KAVALAEXPO will be feasible only through the activation and the contribution of supporters - Exhibitors /Visitors - that believe that they are the protagonists of enterprising world, ready to transform the crisis to opportunity.
